Michael Soi was born in Kenya in 1972. In 1995 He graduated at the College of fine art at the University of Since and Technology in Nairobi.

He lives and works in Nairobi, Kenya. His works have been shown in, The United States, Denmark, The Netherlands, Switzerland, South Korea , Ghana , the United Kingdom, South Africa, Nigeria and Ethiopia.
