LOT 18 – Undare Mtaki

Undare Mtaki Tanzanian, born 1993

Undare was born in 1993 in Mwanza Tanzania. At an early age of four he started drawing and painting. In 2019 he finished his studies in architecture at the Ardhi University in Dar es Salaam. The geometrical way of thinking and the typically granite stones in Mwanza influence his images.
He uses small geometrical patterns to express how he sees things through his artistic eyes. He exhibited in Tansania at Alliance Française and The Drum Gallery. A residency at Forster-Gallery is set up for 2024.
